A Fisheries Indaba was recently convened in the Eastern Cape by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries but was poorly attended. One of the stated purposes was to “create a platform to interact with the various role players to help foster and reinforce a consultative platform for fishery stakeholders to engage.”
