Excellent squid catches and recorded landings this year have helped Premier Fishing & Brands Limited achieve a 40% increase in full year net profit thanks largely to the acquisition of the Port Elizabeth-based fishing company, Talhado. The deal finalised in May, saw the squid fleet increase from four to 22 vessels and operating profit jump more than 400% for the squid division.
