Bird scaring lines (or tori lines as they are referred to), have been used by fishing vessels to monitor seabird bycatch. But now electronic monitoring devices are also being used.

Guess what! South Africa is among the list of awardees receiving sustainable fishing project grants from the MSC’s Ocean Stewardship Fund.
