At 1.6 million litres and 6 metres deep, the I&J Ocean Exhibit provides a massive home to rays, musselcrackers, green sea turtles, a giant guitarfish and much more. It is the first exhibit of its kind in South Africa to boast a full 10-metre long tunnel.

The International Zoo Educators Association (IZE) Conference will be held in Cape Town in October.

Hosted by the Two Oceans Aquarium from 12–16 October 2026, the event is expected to bring conservation educators, communicators, and environmental changemakers from around the world to Cape Town.

Held every two years since 1972, the 2026  IZE Conference marks a significant milestone, as it will be only the second time in the event’s history that it is hosted on African soil.

Two Oceans Aquarium Conservation and Sustainability manager, Helen Lockhart, is looking forward to the conference and urges all interested parties to register their attendance as soon as possible
