Scientists Track Oxygen Status Along West African Coast

As the Saldanha Bay Aquaculture Development Zone battles with paralytic shellfish toxin (PST) levels in mussels and oysters from the monitored production areas, further up the Cape West Coast an exciting international research project has confirmed an oxygen crash was the cause of a large walk-out of mainly West Coast Rock Lobster at Elands Bay towards the end of February. There are other interesting projects in the pipeline too.
