Strengthening Partnerships Can Help Government Fix the Water Crisis

Water is one of the things we barely think about when the taps work. But when the taps run dry, everything from households and schools to hospitals, hotels and businesses is affected. This growing concern is reflected in the Department of Water and Sanitation’s National State of Water Report, which highlights that without sufficient intervention, South Africa could face a projected 17% gap between water supply and demand by 2030. Which is why there’s a lot of work being done to finalise a proposed Strategic Framework for Water and Sanitation Services (SFWSS).
