The public has until 2 April to lodge an appeal against the proposed sea-based aquaculture development zone in Algoa Bay.
According to Anchor Environmental, they have received numerous requests to extend the date. The circumstances surrounding the Covid-19 epidemic also contributed to the decision.
The Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries notified stakeholders towards the end of February. The extension was communicated via email yesterday.
