Is the Mathematical Model for Horse Mackerel Reliable?

It should be observed that the concern raised by mid-water and hake deep sea trawl participants regarding South Africa’s largest trawler, MFV Desert Diamond, operating West of 20 degrees East has only recently occurred and been called into question on new Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Dr Dion George’s, watch. Ultimately, in terms of the applicable legislation and permit conditions, it is the Minister who is responsible and accountable for his department’s decision making.
