The Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) seems uncomfortable to take strident and decisive steps to protect the Antarctic Peninsula from unregulated krill fishing. Many of CCAMLR’s 27 Members and conservationists were left disappointed when this topic remained on the table despite two weeks of debating the issues.
