Fish meal plants are not popular with the public generally and the Mossel Bay residents are no exception. When they first heard this year that there is an environmental assessment application for such a facility in their harbour, their reaction was predictably negative. However, this is perhaps premature considering that the results of the environmental impact studies are yet to be released.
