The safety of fishermen and fishing vessels of a minimum length of 24 metres, was in the spotlight again this week when 46 countries signed the Torremolinos Declaration.
This is a non-legally binding political instrument aimed at improving fishing vessel safety and reducing illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
