UPDATE. Sekunjalo Group Not Yet Unbankable

Last week Sekunjalo’s 11^th hour success in the Equality Court to prevent Nedbank from closing its Group’s bank accounts from today, is an interesting development in that it brings into question the banks’ conduct – and not the customer.

The Equality Court has instructed Nedbank has to keep the Sekunjalo Group’s bank accounts open – for now. But this might be short-lived if the interim relief sought by Sekunjalo is not be there when the outcome of the court application is heard on 8 April.
