Africa is noted to be the least climate-resilient region in the world, with high vulnerability to climate change and a low readiness for its impacts. Natural disasters have displaced millions of people and destroyed livelihoods. There is a need to adjust and access to modern energy will help development goals to be met, contribute to peace and security, provide young populations with better futures, and stave off starvation.
