There’s a Marine Science Story to Tell

The marine science community is often accused of operating in a silo, quietly getting on with research projects and limiting their research findings to be shared only amongst peers at closed workshops. When published research is then picked up by the general media always on the look-out for a good story to tell, the risk is offending scientists and researchers in the way it is communicated. However in most cases there is no follow up to correct anything that might be misleading.
