Successful Interdict Stops Seismic Survey. A Victory for Wild Coast Communities

Today, the Makhanda (Grahamstown) High Court has ordered oil major, Shell, to immediately stop its seismic survey off South Africa’s Wild Coast. This has been hailed as a major victory for Wild Coast communities.

Shell and the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy are ordered to pay the costs of the application for the interim interdict.
