The spectacular fall from grace of several Namibian ministers and businessmen involved in the so-called “fishrot scandal” in the last two weeks, is just another reminder that ‘This Is Africa’. Corruption in any form is unacceptable and social media is a powerful messaging tool, whether the information is true or not. But it should be remembered that is election week in Namibia, and so one wonders to what extent this has to do with politics.
