Some people love it, others hate it, but fish paste has been on supermarket shelves for nearly 80 years and South African consumers have every right to feel aggrieved that it is no more. It is worth it to know that while we may not get back the fish paste brands we know, this story has a bigger picture and it is not yet fully revealed.
